Middle School Basketball Teams Raise Money For Cancer Research

The fight against prostate cancer has $2,500 worth of new ammunition.

The Tates Creek Middle School girls basketball team raised $1,500.

Morton Middle raised $1,000, and all of it goes to Markey Cancer Center.

The check presentation was Friday.

The schools raised their money by selling special shirts to wear to one of their games.

Some men that worked at the school also raised money by collecting pledges for not shaving.

Coaches and principals at both schools have loved ones affected by prostate cancer.
