Medal of Honor recipient and Kentucky native Dakota Meyer received an honor Monday in Frankfort.
Meyer was presented with an honorary trooper certificate by Kentucky State Police during a ceremony.
He was recently awarded the Medal of Honor by President Obama.
Meyer received the military's highest honor after charging into heavy gunfire in Afghanistan in 2009.
He is credited with saving the lives of 36 people.
