Meth Lab Investigation and Arrest in Whitley County

Upon arrival troopers could smell a strong chemical odor emanating from the residence

LONDON, Ky. – On Thursday, March 14, 2013 troopers from Kentucky State Police Post 11 London went to a residence in the Canada Town community of Whitley County to conduct a follow-up investigation in reference to a prior Manufacturing Methamphetamine case.

Upon arrival troopers could smell a strong chemical odor emanating from the residence. Once inside the residence an active Methamphetamine lab, items commonly used in the Manufacturing of Methamphetamine and finished Methamphetamine product were located.

Arrested at the scene were Bobby D. Canada, 26, of Williamsburg and Wayne C. Marcus, 32, also of Williamsburg, both charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Degree and lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.

Canada was charged with the additional charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine) and Unlawful Possession of a Meth Precursor 1st.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by officers from the Kentucky State Police and the ATF.
