Men Accused Of Stealing Packages From Lexington Homes

Two men are in jail after police said they admitted to stealing packages off of doorsteps around Lexington.

Brian Ryder, 31, and Allan Whitaker, 24, were arrested yesterday and charged with five counts of theft of mail matter.

Police said the two were stealing packages that had been delivered by the Postal Service, FexEx and UPS then selling the stolen items to a local pawn shop.

Ryder and Whitaker are scheduled to be arraigned in court Wednesday.
