Medical Marijuana Bill Pre-Filed In Frankfort

State Senator Perry Clark of Louisville has pre-filed a bill in Frankfort for next year's legislative session that would allow patients to use medical marijuana for Cancer, HIV/AIDS, Multiple Sclerosis and other serious medical conditions.

A doctor's recommendation would be needed.

Senator Clark said it would be for medical uses only.

He said it is not an attempt to legalize marijuana.

I think it should be legal to people who are suffering because pharmaceutical pain medications are dangerous and harmful. Have you ever seen somebody waste away from a painful illness like cancer? My grandma hated the way morphine made here feel and it never helped her eat. And so many people end up struggling with addiction to pain meds they were prescribed.

How many people have doctors killed with their prescribing pain meds compared to marijuana dealers? The prohibition on marijuana is just plain stupid. Less of a threat than alcohol and have you seen the warnings on the pharmaceutical ads?
