U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell says he favors continuing a Social Security payroll tax cut, but says it should be linked to the building of the Keystone Oil Pipeline.
McConnell spoke on 'Fox News Sunday.' He said he agrees with the need to maintain the tax cut, to avoid a tax increase for working people.
But McConnell said the plan should include the building of the Keystone Pipeline from Canada to the Gulf Coast. He says it's a project that would mean immediate jobs. President Obama says the two issues should not be linked. The Keystone Pipeline has been opposed by many environmental groups.
