McAlister's Deli open Monday on Euclid Avenue.
The company says Lexington was a natural.
Manager of Restaurant Operations Chris Graves says, "Lexington was very on the map. We have several locations in Louisville, Kentucky and this spot was just automatic. It's a college town. It has great people. We definitely love to be a part of this neighborhood."
It's a Mississippi-based company specializing in sandwiches, soups, salads and sweet iced tea.
McAlister's says it plans other restaurants in the Lexington area.
