Masked Man Holds Customer At Knife Point In Pulaski County

Deputies are looking for a man that tried to rob a Pulaski County grocery store and held one of its customers at knife point Friday.
Deputies are searching for a would-be robber that held a man at knife point Friday.

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Department says a masked man with a knife went into the S&M Grocery on Highway 39 and demanded cash around 9:30PM.

According to deputies, the suspect held a customer at knife point while trying to get the money.

The sheriff's department says the female clerk then got a handgun from behind the counter and wouldn't hand over anything. The masked man then let the customer go and fled the store on foot.

No one was hurt in the robbery attempt.

Deputies tracked the suspect to a parking lot, where they believe he got into a vehicle.

Officials say the suspect is a white male, wearing blue jeans, a black hooded jacked, a red-billed cap, a mask, and dark glasses.

This is the second robbery call Pulaski County's had in a week...the other on July 13th at D&D Food Mart on North Highway 27. Investigators say there may be a connection between them, and are looking into it.

Anyone with information on either of these crimes is asked to call the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department at 606-678-5145.
