Man Who Had Weapons And Drugs At Kings Island Sentenced To Prison

A truck driver who brought weapons and drugs to Kings Island Amusement Park was sentenced Thursday to three years in prison.
A truck driver from Texas who brought weapons and drugs to Kings Island Amusement Park was sentenced Thursday to three years in prison, according to court records.

Rodney Grisham, 37, pleaded no contest and waived his trial as part of a plea deal with prosecutors.

Police arrested Grisham last July after Kings Island security officers received reports of suspicious activity, including one report that he tried to take a toddler from the child's older cousin.

Investigators said a search of his truck in the amusement park's parking lot turned up a loaded firearm, children's videos and toys, a police-style baton, a Taser and non-licensed prescription medication.

Grisham will get 120-days credit on his sentence for time already served.
