Georgetown police said a man wanted in connection to a violent shoplifting incident turned himself in.
Police said Matthew Ryan Howard was arrested and is being held on a $25,000 bond.
Howard is accused of taking a pair of boots from Georgetown Shoes in January.
Police said when the clerk followed Howard out, he hit her in the face, pulled out a knife and threatened to cut her throat.
He is also accused of threatening to kill the clerk's child and the store's owner.
Police released surveillance footage and put a warrant out for Howard's arrest shortly after the incident.
