Lexington Police are investigating an overnight shooting Friday.

Police say they responded to a call of shots fired around 5 a.m.
 
The officers say a man was walking along the street in the 600 block of Deroode Street when someone fired shots at him.

Lexington police say the victim didn't see the shooter.

According to police, he suffered non-life threatening injuries and is being treated at UK hospital.

The shooting is under investigation.
