Man Sentenced In Child Porn Case

A Logan County man has been sentenced for possession and distribution of child pornography.
A Logan County man has been sentenced for possession and distribution of child pornography. 

A Logan Circuit Court judge sentenced Roger Dale Cropper, 49, on April 5, 2012 to seven years in prison after he pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor and one count of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.

Cropper will also be required to register as a lifetime sex offender. The charges against Cropper are the result of an undercover investigation that began on March 26, 2011 by the state's Cybercrimes Unit. A search warrant was executed on May 16, 2011 at Cropper’s Russellville residence, with the assistance of Russellville Police.  A Logan Circuit Court grand jury issued an indictment against Cropper on July 29, 2011.
