A man who police say helped a fugitive escape was sentenced Wednesday.

John Lee Williams is accused of helping John Buckley IV escape Lexington. He has been sentenced to 45 days in jail.

The Fayette County Sheriff says Buckley is still on the run. They say he was on a break from his rape trial when he ran. Deputies say he took off his ankle monitoring bracelet before courts were able to announce a guilty verdict.

The U.S. Marshall is involved in the search for Buckley.
