A man is recovering in the hospital after being struck by lightning on Monday morning.
Around 8:45 Monday morning emergency crews responded to a transfer station in Stanton for a male employee that was hit by lightning.
Officials tell us that a worker at the station was waiting on a customer when lightning struck a metal building nearby.
Witnesses on scene said when the lightning hit the metal building multiple
times then it jumped and hit the worker that was standing twenty feet away. He was taken to a local hospital.
City Officials tell us that he is talking and in stable condition.
