Man Gets 10-Years In Prison For Putting Child In Freezer

Randy Hammons of Harlan County was sentenced to 10-years in prison for putting his girlfriend's three-year old son inside a working deep freezer for 20-minutes, according to court officials.
A Harlan County man was sentenced to prison for locking a child in a freezer.

Court officials said Randy Hammons was sentenced to 10-years after pleading guilty to locking his live-in girlfriend's three-year old son in a working deep freeze for 20-minutes in March of last year.

The child's mother, Connie Jenkins, was charged with criminal abuse in the case, according to investigators.
