An overnight fire in Lexington causes a medical concern for the man who escaped it.

Officials say the fire started in the kitchen just after midnight Tuesday morning and quickly spread to the attic. They found heavy smoke pouring from the home when they arrived.

One person was home at the time of the fire, but he was able to get out before crews got there. He was treated on the scene for smoke inhalation.

Investigators are still figuring out what exactly caused the fire.
