A Mount Vernon man died in a car crash around 11 p.m. on Saturday.

Kentucky State Police say Denford Cameron, 42, was driving west on Deborde Road in Rockcastle County when his pickup truck went off the left shoulder of the road and hit a tree.

Police say Cameron was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected from the vehicle.

Rockcastle County Coroner Billy Dowell pronounced Cameron dead at the scene.

A police report says alcohol use is suspected.
