A man has been indicted on a murder charge, following a fatal shooting that occurred on Branch View Lane in Russell Springs in April.

Police say an investigation revealed that a verbal argument between Daniel Shane Popplewell, 43, and Charles P. Farmer, 45, both of Russell Springs, escalated into a fight that led to Farmer shooting Popplewell inside Farmer's residence.

Popplewell died as a result of his injuries. Farmer was arrested, charged with murder.
