The Laurel County Sheriff's Office said an arrest was made in a hit and run investigation.

Deputies said Randy E. Stewart of Lily was driving drunk Friday on US 25 when he hit a car with his pickup.

According to investigators, Stewart then hit a guardrail as he sped away.

The sheriff's office said Stewart's abandoned pickup was found later on KY 552 East.

Deputies arrested Stewart at his father's home on Dogwood Lane.

The sheriff's office said the woman who was driving the car went to the hospital after the crash.
