A man was assaulted on UK’s campus this morning.

That’s according to police who say it happened around 3:30 a.m. behind the Kappa Sigma Fraternity House.

Officers say three people came up behind him and hit him on the head and face until he chased them toward Hilltop Avenue where they left in a blue car.

Campus Police have some tips to help keep people safe in these types of situation:

1.)   Park in well lit areas.

2.)  Never travel alone after dark.

3.)   If someone demands something like a purse or wallet, give it to them.

4.)   If you’re on campus, you can call a free safety escort or coordinate on-demand bus service by calling 859-257-SAFE.
