I concur with your assessment for the children and the loss of life at the hands of irresponsible adults, but to say that arresting a man who is growing 30+ pot plants is not ok is unacceptable. I find that the law is the law and when you break that law you should be arrested. One crime obviously is more horrific than the other BUT to say that leaving that man be is ok, I find that irresponsible as well. Growing 30+ plants is not growing it for personal use. It doesn't take a rocket scientist that in this economy that EX COP (whom obviously knew the law and the consequences of his decisions) was growing to profit. THe unseen consequences of his actions are not always accounted for and therefore I saw HOORAY to the educated State Troopers for doing their jobs. Thank goodness this arrest was not as gut wrenching as the other two stories!

After reviewing the recent local news reports after work...I find it quite puzzeling that after reading 2 stories involving the deaths of two children...1 being 5 years old and forced to drink vinegar until death...and the other bein shot to death by his brother due to a deadbeat dad not hiding his guns or at least being in the room with his kids...then reading a story bout an old dude growing pot...that our amazingly competent police force 'cough cough' (sarcasm for those born n raised n Kentucky and therefore unable to read and comprehend) has managed to only arrest the old dude growing weed? Why do we pay these degree-less incompetent at best, thuglet at worst; worthless had to settle for being a cop cuz they could not make it anywhere else in life losers to 'protect and serve' when all they do is harass people they know they can control? Being from a major urban environment I have never seen a cop 'patrolling' a housing project...hell they take 2 hours to show when called there...but they have search warrants for 55 yr olds with weed who they then can't even hit with trafficking due to clearly not being able to prove any kind of transaction? So if he is growing to smoke...who is his victim? But the two dead children? Those are real victims...weed hurts noone except the pockets of the Feds protecting the drug trade...go to the Everglades or southern Louisiana at night and wear ur night vision n u can jus watch the US federal agents do their work...open ur eyes people before it's too late
