A Paducah man has been arrested on child pornography charges.
The Kentucky attorney general's office, with assistance from the Paducah Police Department, arrested 26-year-old Mathew Ferreira on nine counts of use of a minor in a sexual performance, 13 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor and seven counts of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
Ferreira was lodged in the McCracken County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond. The charges against Ferreira stem from an undercover investigation by the attorney general's cybercrimes Unit that began in October of 2011. A search warrant was executed at Ferreira’s Paducah residence on March 9, 2012 with assistance from Paducah Police.
