Man Arrested In Lexington Robbery Case

Police say John Newell Watkins, 22, is charged with receiving stolen property and two counts of robbery.
Police have made on arrest in a Lexington robbery investigation.

John Newell Watkins, 22, has been arrested and charged with two counts of first degree robbery, and receiving stolen property.

According to police, Watkins and two accomplices broke into Courtyard Apartments at 845 Red Mile Rd at 4:23 a.m. Friday. An alarm went off, and police came. It is unknown what was stolen, or if the men had weapons. No one was hurt.

Police are still searching for the other two involved in the robbery.
