Man Arrested After Laurel County Marijuana Discovery

A man has been arrested in Laurel County, after several marijuana plants were discovered.

The sheriff’s office received information about a residence on East Kentucky 1376, north of  East Bernstadt on Thursday afternoon 1:30 P.M.

Deputies say they went to the location at the residence, and located 28 marijuana plants near and behind the residence.

David F. Stewart, Jr., 38, was at the home and was arrested and charged with cultivating marijuana and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Facility.
