Lexington Police have charged a man for two robberies that happened during the holiday weekend.

Police say they arrested Arnold Perkins, 52, and charged with robbery of the Subway on North Locust Hill Drive yesterday, and also robbery of a Liquor Barn that was robbed on Thanksgiving.

The owner of the Subway said a man came into the store Saturday afternoon.

He ordered a sandwich and as he was paying for it, pulled out a long knife and demanded money. After he got the money, he ran away and left in a car.

The Subway owner said two customers at the Little Ceasar’s Pizza store next door were able to report the man’s license plate to Lexington Police.

Police said they arrested Perkins and put him in the Fayette County Detention Center.
