A man is in custody after Lexington police said he imitated an officer so he could have sex with a woman.

Officers said Adam Crabtree approached the woman last month at the Howard Johnson Inn just off Winchester Road.

Investigators said the woman told them Crabtree claimed to be working undercover and even showed her a badge.

He reportedly then told the woman he'd hurt her if she didn't have sex with him.

Crabtree is now being held in the Fayette County Detention Center.
