Man Accused Of Woman's Murder Pleads Not Guilty

Christopher Allman, 28, is accused of killing Sarah Hart, 31, in Russell County.
A man accused in the murder of a Russell County woman made his first court appearance Monday.

Christopher Allman, 28, is accused of killing Sarah Hart, 31.

Funeral services were held this morning for Hart at Freedom Christian Church in Jamestown.

Hart went out jogging with her sister last week. Police say hart told her sister she didn't feel well, and was going back to her car. The sister went on, but later could not find her.

Police say Hart was found dead under a tree in a wooded area about 30 yards from a road. A preliminary autopsy report says Hart was 10 to 11 weeks pregnant, and death was by strangulation.

Allman pleaded not guilty Monday to all the charges against him. A  Kentucky State Police report says Allman admitted he had attacked and killed Hart while trying to rob her.

Allman is due back in Russell County District Court on Monday, June 25.
