Man Accused Of Stealing Diamond Rings From Walmart

Richmond Police said Irvine Perkins, 29, of Richmond, is accused of stealing two diamond rings valued at over $1,000 from a Walmart.
Richmond Police said Irvine Perkins, 29, of Richmond, stole two diamond rings valued at more than $1,000 from a Walmart.

Investigators said Perkins went to the same Walmart on two different occasions on the same day, asked to look at a ring on display in the jewelry department and then switched the ring with another before returning it to the clerk.

Police said Perkins stole two, 14K gold diamond rings.

Investigators said the thefts happened on September 3, 2012.

Police said Perkins was spotted and arrested in a Sonic Drive-In parking lot on September 12, 2012.

Police said Perkins is charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking over $500 and Theft by Unlawful Taking under $500.

Perkins was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
