Richmond police have arrested James R. Anderson, 46, of Keri Ann Court in Richmond.
He is charged with first degree sexual abuse involving improper contact with a child.
On April 13, a relative of the child contacted police with allegations that Anderson had subjected a 10-year-old boy to sexual contact in December 2011.
Following an investigation into the matter, police charged Anderson. He is in the Madison County Detention Center.
