Man Accused Of Passing Bad Checks In Several States

Police are searching for Bradley Montgomery, 49. He is accused of passing nearly $100,000 in bad checks using accounts of bank customers.
Police are searching for Bradley Montgomery, 49. He is accused of passing nearly $100,000 in bad checks using accounts of bank customers.

Montgomery is wanted in the Eastern District of Kentucky for federal charge of violation of conditions of release.

While he has been a fugitive, police say Montgomery has visited several banks in Pennsylvania, Virginia, New Jersey, Alabama, Tennessee, Illinois and Michigan passing nearly $100,000 in bad checks using accounts of bank customers.

According to authorities, Montgomery generally writes a check out to the customer drawn on his account with People’s Exchange Bank in Kentucky. He will ask to deposit $500.00 dollars in the customer account, and request the balance back in cash.

Police say he drives a red 2000 Buick LeSabre, license plate unknown.
