Richmond police charge a man with wanton endangerment and DUI, after being accused of driving drunk with a child in his car.

Police say Allen Wayne Strickland, 35, was stopped in his car over the weekend.

Officers found an 18-month-old boy in the rear seat. Police say Strickland was driving impaired.

The child's mother was called and took custody of the boy.

Strickland is in the Madison County Detention Center.
