“Making Strides Against Breast Cancer”

Hundreds of people in Lexington took a step toward finding a cure for breast cancer during “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.”

Organizers held a three to five mile walk at Coldstream Park.

The money raised from today event goes to cancer research, information and services and access to mammograms for women who need them.

Organizers say the event also helps inspire and unite the community to raise awareness about breast cancer risks.

ABC 36’s Lauren Gawthrop emceed the walk.

Today’s event is part of a national breast cancer awareness event.
