Magoffin Co. Sheriff: Deputy Jailer Murdered in Home

        Magoffin County Sheriff Carson Montgomery says a deputy jailer was shot and killed in his home in Salyersville Sunday afternoon around 3:30.
       
        Montgomery says they have a suspect in custody and have charged them with murder of a police officer.

        He says the suspect knew the deputy jailer and even lived with them "most of the time."
       
        Investigators say the suspect surrendered to police at the scene and was taken to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.

        The name of the victim has not bee released at this time.
