The Madison County School District is making some changes to its nursing services offered to students.

The County Health Department will no longer be part of the program starting in May.

The Health Department says it will lose $300,000 this school year because of reduced Medicaid reimbursements.

As a result, the Health Department asked the School District for more money to administer the program next year.

The District declined, and is now looking for a new provider.

According to the District, the current nursing staff will be offered jobs under the new provider.
