The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that temporary lane closures are in effect for KY 627 in Madison County.  The closures are necessary for asphalt resurfacing and a southbound truck lane extension.

Work schedule:

·         Monday through Friday (until further notice) -

Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for each scheduled day of work

The location for the work on KY 627 is between MP 0.635 and MP 5.954.

Varied lanes will be closed at separate times – appropriate signage and flaggers will be in place to alert and guide the traveling public.

All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone

and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling near the area.
