Jacob Meyer, 11, is Kentucky’s Ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
MD is a progressive disease that affects a person’s muscle movements.
Jacob’s Mom said she knew something was wrong when he was younger because he would tire so quickly when playing sports.
But that never held him back.
“Cause everybody else thinks they're normal,” he says, “That they don't have anything wrong with them. But my guidance counselor last year says everyone has something unique about them… like a disability.”
Jacob Meyer’s full story will air during the ABC 36 MDA “Show of Strength” telethon on Sunday, September 2 from 8 – 11 p.m.
