Sunshine will continue through the afternoon, boosting temperatures into the upper 40s across central Kentucky.  Some snow-covered areas to the south and east will remain a bit colder.  A weaker disturbance will arrive tomorrow, producing a round of scattered, light rain showers.  Temperatures will rise through midweek as another, weaker disturbance produces just a few rain showers on Wednesday.  We have a good chance at reaching the lower 60s on Thursday, before a widespread round of showers accompanies a strong cold front on Thursday evening.  On the back end of that storm system, widespread rain showers will change to snow showers on Friday as temperatures plunge through the 40s and into the 30s.  A stray flurry or two may linger in far eastern Kentucky early on Saturday.  Readings will bounce back into the upper 40s at the end of the weekend as the next disturbance draws near.
