The community is getting a peek at the plans for Lexington's new fire trucks.

Firefighters posted rough draft schematics Wednesday on facebook.

The department reportedly sent some of its staff to Florida for a pre-build conference.

Firefighters said a company called E-One Inc. in Ocala, Florida was awarded the bid to make the new engines 8, 12 and 16.

According to the department, the new trucks will be delivered at the end of the year or in early 2015.
