Eight runners from Lexington participated in the Boston Marathon.

Folks at the John's Run/Walk shop say they've heard from at least two of the runners as of 6pm.

Those at the running shop have been trying to get in contact with anyone who may have information on the other six runners, however officials in Boston have asked all cell phones to be turned off to keep communication lines open for emergency responders.

ABC 36 News will be sure to bring you any new information on local runners  in Boston as it becomes available.
