Local College Students Protest Bluegrass Pipeline

The Student Environmental Action Coalition took to the steps of the capital Friday to protest a proposed natural gas pipeline that would run through Kentucky.

Thank you for the story. I would like to clarify that the Bluegrass Pipeline will NOT provide natural gas or liquid natural gas. The company frequently uses these terms in their literature and public statements, but this line is for fracked NGLs, which are not the same as the natural gas we use to heat our homes. NGLs are primarily used in manufacturing and in plastics production. This line is not a utility, the company's history is riddled with violations and accidents, and it claims it has the right to use eminent domain to take Kentuckians' land rights--even though it is a private company and not a utility.
