Lingering Rain Into Friday

Lingering Rain Into Friday

Rain chances will continue tonight into Friday, with drier conditions for the start of the weekend.
Midnight Update:  Rain showers have greatly diminished across Kentucky with clearing skies over the Bluegrass.  As the clouds begin to clear out and due to the leftover moisture, we will have some patchy dense fog developing for the early morning hours of Friday.

We will continue to have a few lingering rain showers tonight and into Friday, with drier conditions for the start of your weekend. We’re also monitoring the latest with Tropical Storm Andrea, which will bring heavy rainfall and gusty winds to the East Coast United States tonight through the start of the weekend.

Tonight: A few rain showers and thunderstorms will be possible this evening, yet most of the rain will taper off by the early morning hours of Friday. Overnight low temperatures will be around 60 degrees by Friday morning.

Friday: Some lingering rain showers will continue into Friday, with partly to mostly cloudy skies and high temperatures around 78 degrees. The remnants of Tropical Storm Andrea will be moving northward up the Mid-Atlantic coast, which may give us some extra clouds through the day, yet rainfall associated with that system looks to stay east of the Appalachian Mountains.

Weekend: This weekend looks fantastic for spending time outdoors, with partly sunny skies, and a high of 79 degrees for Saturday. Sunday will be a little warmer with partly sunny skies and a high of 83 degrees. There is a slight chance for a late day shower or thunderstorm on Sunday, yet most of us look to stay dry.

Next Week: Temperatures will continue to be in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees for next week, with the chance for rain possible just about each day. Monday and Wednesday will feature scattered rain showers, with isolated rain showers possible for Tuesday and Wednesday.
