Lincoln County HS Assistant Football Coach Killed In Crash

Lincoln County High School is mourning the loss of an Assistant Football Coach who was killed in a crash.

The Fayette County Coroner says 47-year-old Michael "Mickey" Goodwin died Friday afternoon at UK Hospital.

The Garrard County Sheriff's Office say Goodwin was riding a motorcycle on US 27 Friday morning when he collided with a car at Jaycees Park Road.

Deputies say Goodwin was thrown from the bike when it hit a guardrail.

The Coroner says he was flown to UK Hospital where he later died during surgery.

Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford is handling the funeral arrangements.
