Light snow has reached the Bluegrass Region, but most of the accumulations will remain to the south and east of Lexington. South and east of London, and east of Jackson, some lower elevations may receive a light accumulation of around 1" in the grass, with hilltops closer to 2". In extreme southeastern Kentucky, a 2" to 4" snowfall is likely above 2,000'. A Winter Weather Advisory continues in far southeastern Kentucky for Bell, Harlan, Letcher and Pike Counties until 9 PM. Behind this system, the sun will finally return (mixed with a few clouds) on Thursday. Temperatures will be a bit below average through the weekend, before we recover back closer to average by next Tuesday. Most of this Thursday - Tuesday period will be dry, with the exception of perhaps a flurry or two on Friday, and a few rain showers on Tuesday of next week.
