Lexington's Winburn Middle School is taking a unique fundraising approach.

The school is holding a yard sale and fish fry this Saturday, May 19, to raise money for a school trip for Honor Roll students.

The yard sale and fish fry runs from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the school, which is located at 1060 Winburn Drive, Lexington, Kentucky 40511.

Individuals or groups can rent tables for $20 in the school's gymnasium to sell items.  The table renters keep all the profits from what they sell.

There will also be a fish fry concession stand.

All the proceeds from the yard sale table rent and fish fry will go to the school's RAP Trip.  RAP stands for Realizing Academic Potential.

Any student who makes the Honor Roll for the entire school year is eligible to go on the RAP Trip.

This year's trip is to Chicago, Illinois.

Money raised at the yard sale and fish fry will help defray the cost of the trip for eligible students.
