Lexington’s Fourth of July Festival will go as planned, rain or shine.

The city will postpone or cancel certain activities throughout the day if weather becomes threatening.

Downtown Lexington Corporation encourages everyone to use their judgment when deciding whether or not to attend the Festival.

The city will defer to Zambelli Fireworks on postponing or delaying the fireworks display scheduled for 10 p.m Thursday.

Lexington has a rain date of Friday, July 5 at 10 p.m. scheduled.
