People in Lexington rolled up their sleeves for 'Free Flu Friday.'

The annual event allows residents to get free vaccinations.

The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department also used the clinic as a chance to test its emergency preparedness.

There were more than 340 confirmed cases of the flu last year in Lexington.

Meanwhile Franklin County is gearing up to host its 'Three For Free Flu Shot Clinic.'

It will be held Tuesday, October 15th from 6pm to 8pm on Mero Street in Frankfort.

Residents who are age 18 and over are asked to bring three, non-perishable food items to get a free flu vaccination.

The line up for the drive-thru clinic will start on Clinton Street.

Proceeds will be donated to the Emergency Food Pantry Of Franklin County.

The health department says vaccinations for children will be provided at all schools.
