Mollie Watson, an eighth grader at Tates Creek Middle School, won an essay contest and will share the stage with Governor Steve Beshear during his inauguration on Tuesday.
The 14-year-old Mollie wrote that education is the key to Kentucky's success. The contest was spearheaded by First Lady Jane Beshear.
The contest's theme was 'Kentucky Tomorrow,' with sixth- through eighth-grade students taking part across the state.
