Lexington Police Search For Man Following Stabbing

Lexington Police were looking for Edward Pointer on Tuesday after he reportedly stabbed a man during a fight outside a home on Atokad Park.

Investigators said it happened just after 8:00 a.m.

Police said Pointer stabbed the father of his girlfriend's son. 

He cut the man in the abdomen and left arm, according to police.

Investigators said the victim tried to drive off, but because of his stab wounds, had to call 911 for help.

Police said the victim had come over to the house to visit his son and got into an argument with Pointer, who is the woman's new boyfriend.

Investigators said Pointer ran off after the stabbing.

The victim was taken to the hospital and rushed into surgery, according to police.
