Lexington Police are trying to figure out who broke into a mattress store Friday night.

Officers said the door of Mattress Overstock on New Circle Road was smashed overnight.

An employee first found the damage this morning around 10.

According to police, the burglar knocked a register onto the floor. They said he took only part of the cash in the drawer.

Police said they are hoping there is surveillance footage from the business next door. They will search it for clues.
