Lexington Police: Man Admits To Murdering Girlfriend

According to court documents, a Lexington man admitted to police he murdered his girlfriend.

Chico Rucker is accused of murdering Elmia Farris, 32, of Lexington, and wrapping her body in plastic.

Police said her body was found near a dumpster at an apartment complex where the couple lived in separate apartments on Marietta Drive.

Her body was found Sunday.

The coroner said her body could have been there 1-to-2 weeks before it was discovered.

Police said Rucker is charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence.
